O' Christmas Tree, O' Christmas Tree...

We went on the hunt for our "perfect" Christmas Tree at Hensler's Christmas Tree Farm a few weekends ago.  Lyla started off having a blast playing in the snow, handing snowballs to everyone and licking the snow off of her gloves.

When we found the perfect tree, my big strong manly husband cut it down by hand.
By the end of our little excursion, Lyla was super cold, tired, hungry, and crabby.  Poor baby cried the whole way back on the horse-drawn wagon, which is really unlike her.  After we got inside and warmed up with some lunch and Christmas music, she was feeling much better.  As soon as we got in the car, she fell asleep and took a four and a half hour nap!  WOW!

A few days later we decorated the tree.  Lyla had a great time putting the ornaments on and directing daddy where to put the others.
She got so excited when she found an ornament that had a picture of Jasper in it.  She kept giving him big kisses and saying "That's Jasper!"

Santa got his Christmas Shopping done early this year (and by early, I mean by December 19th!  Amazing!) and he has been busy having the elves wrap the presents.  I can't wait to see the look on Lyla's face on Christmas morning when she sees what Santa has brought her!  Luckily she has been a good girl this year so I think she will get everything that was on her Christmas list!
